The Ampersand Hotel is situated just a minute's walk from South Kensington tube station, and is well connected to Heathrow airport.
Underground: The District, Circle and Piccadilly Lines all stop at South Kensington underground station and can connect you to the rest of London in minutes. An Oyster Card can be purchased from the station ticket office, which is the most cost-efficient method of using London public transport. For a tube map, click here.
Airports: For London airports, you can travel directly to Heathrow airport on the Piccadilly Line (journey time, one hour). Fast trains to Heathrow leave from Paddington Station (journey time, 15 minutes; see www.heathrowexpress.com) and to Gatwick from Victoria Station (journey time, 30 minutes; see www.gatwickexpress.com). Taxi transfers to or from any London airport can be arranged by our concierge.
Buses: Buses are easy to use with an Oyster Card, with key routes passing close to our hotel. Some of the more useful connections are as follows:

Bus 49: Kings Road and High Street Kensington
Bus 74: Knightsbridge (Harrods), Hyde Park, Oxford Street

Bus 9: Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square (National Portrait Gallery)
Bus 52: Knightsbridge (Harrods), Kensington High Street
